-
I understand that life happens and things need to change from time to time, therefore I offer a free rescheduling option up to 48 hours before your appointment. If you need to reschedule within 48hours this will be subject to 50% of the service fee or 100% if you do not attend your appointment without letting me know. If you can't make it last minute, you could always send a friend or relative to enjoy the treatment!

-
What happens if I am late for my appointment?
-
Please do let me know if you are running late. I allow ample time between massage appointments so it is likely we will still have enough time for your treatment, however I may have to shorten the length of your session so as not to disrupt my next clients' session.

During the Massage
-
What do I wear to my massage appointment?
-
Wear comfortable clothes. I will provide a private space for you to undress to your comfort level. You will be draped with a sheet and blanket throughout the session, with only the area being worked on uncovered.
-
-
Do I have to undress completely?
-
Your comfort is my top priority. You can undress to your personal comfort level. Some clients prefer to keep their underwear on, and that is perfectly fine. You will always be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket and you will have the privacy to get undressed alone. Fully clothed or fully draped massage is also an option.
-
-
Will the massage hurt?
-
Communication is key! While some deeper pressure work can cause mild discomfort, it should never be painful. I encourage you to tell me your preferences and if the pressure needs to be adjusted at any time. I will check in with you during the session.

What is the difference between Holistic and Deep Tissue massage?
-
Holistic massage is a whole-person approach focused on relaxation and well-being. Deep Tissue massage uses firmer pressure to target deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage is a technique that can be, and often is used in a holistic approach. Holistic massage doesn't necessarily mean 'light touch' massage, it simply means your therapist is aware of you as a whole person and recognises that physical, emotional, and mental states are interconnected and influence each other.

-
Should I talk, or be silent during the massage?
-
This is your time. You are welcome to talk or remain silent throughout the session. I will take your lead. Many people find that remaining quiet helps them relax and focus on their body, but I encourage you to speak up if you need anything. Also, please feel free to move as you wish, there is no requirement to stay statue still.

After the Massage
-
What should I do after my massage?
-
Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and rehydrate your body. I also recommend, where possible, taking it easy for the rest of the day to allow your body to fully benefit from the treatment. The aftercare advice in each session will be personalised to you, your body and situation so this will be the most effective.
-
-
Will I be sore after my massage?
-
Client's can sometimes feel a little tenderness, especially after deep tissue work. This should feel like a good workout and should subside within a day or two. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Also, touch makes us become more aware of our bodies and where we are holding tension, sometimes after a massage we can feel more aware of certain areas of tension as we are more attuned to our bodies than before.
